Ultimate Cinema Projection Kit F.A.Q

How does this work?
The Kit uses the light and image from your existing TV and projects onto a wall or screen by processing the light spectrum and focusing the image.

Does it have to be at 175"?
No, the image does not have to be exactly 175".  It can be whatever size you desire, you can have a 60" or 165" image.   It all depends on where the projector is positioned.

How do I get my image to be "X" inches large?
The further back the TV from the wall or screen, the larger the picture will be and oppositely, the closer it is to your screen, the smaller the picture.  Generally, placing the TV 10 feet back will get you an image of 75 inches.

Will I need any extra materials?
The most important item you require is a TV or monitor, once you have that you are almost set.  You will also be required to have a couple pieces of sturdy material. Cardboard works best as it is most readily available.  This is simply used to hold the lens in place and to direct the light from the TV into the projecting lens.

What size of TV or monitor will work?
Any size will work; however, we recommend 13"-19" TV sets.  The larger the TV, the more room it will have to take up.

Do I need to dismantle my existing TV or monitor?
Absolutely not, the kit attaches onto the screen of your TV and will in no way harm it.

Do I need to buy a special screen for this to work?
You do not need a screen, most people use their walls to view the image, but a screen would increase overall brightness and quality of the picture.

Will I be able to watch DVDs and play video games?
Anything you are able to do on your regular TV or monitor you can do with the projector, including watching DVDs and playing video games.  All Ultimate Cinema does is take the picture from your TV and and magnifies it.

What does the Ultimate Cinema Kit include?
As stated, the Ultimate Cinema Kit includes a high quality projecting lens and instructions on how to utilize the lens. Thus, turning your existing TV or monitor into a front-end projector. (The Manual will be set on a CD format)

Where will my TV or Monitor be placed when the projector is all set up?
The Projector will be on the opposite side of the wall or screen where you want to view the video, just like how a traditional movie theatre works. So this means that you will not view directly at the TV.

Do I need a dark room in order for this to work?
For the most part, your room does need to be dark.  Like all other projectors, ambient light will cause the picture to become dim and the colors washed out.
